DataZone needs the “Student Datafile”

For more information: How to Access Score Reports for K–12 Educators – AP Central | College Board

Do not save this as a TXT file - DataZone cannot process as a TXT file.

DO NOT make any changes to the files.

Process for Submitting Files

  1. District pulls College Assessment data files directly from the vendor (College Board, etc.)

  2. District uploads the requested files and formats to the File Management app.

NOTE: Please submit the files in chronological order to prevent older assessment data from overwriting more recent scores for students (e.g. if you have already uploaded 23-24 data files, but are missing 22-23 files, please upload 22-23 and then re-upload 23-24 files so that the most recent assessment files are the most recently uploaded).

  3. District can check on the status of assessment files the next day. If file processing is successful, the assessment data will be accessible in DataZone the next day. If processing fails, a DataZone data specialist will let you know and work with you to obtain and upload the necessary information. Alternately, if you do not see the data, please contact our Support team to let them know with a help ticket. You can refer back to the Help Ticket number and email if you have additional questions or follow-up about the loading and availability of the data.

Naming Conventions

When saving the files, we ask that districts adhere to the following naming conventions.

  • DistrictName_TestName_TestYear

    • For example:  AppleDistrict_AP_20172018

  • If multiple administrations in a year, put the date/month of the upload at the end.

    • For example: AppleDistrict_AP_20172018_May

  • If a school-specific file, add school name in title.

    • For example,  AppleDistrict_OrangeValleySchool_SAT_20172018_July
