IEP and McKinney Vento Status

Starting with 24-25 school year, SLS App will start capturing Sudent’s IEP and McKinney Vento status at the time of referral. This affects how data is displayed and captured in the following SLS App pages.

  1. New Student Referral

  2. Edit current year open Referral

  3. Display closed Referrals from previous years

    1. Even though Fields for At the Time of Referral are displayed on this screen, the data is marked as Not Available as it is not possible to go back in time to capture this information for previous years.

Impact to End User:

No change in data capturing steps for SLS App Coordinators - because all 4 fields are prepopulated, similar to all other PII and Demographic information on the page.

Data Extract:

  1. Data Extract will show the Current IEP and McKinneyVento status at the student level

  2. Displays the IEP (R) and McKinneyVento(R) data at the referral level, since each student can have one more referrals.
