How to Enter Scores into Student Assessment App

Scoring an Assessment

Teachers and staff members can input student scores directly into the Assessment App, which feeds into the data warehouse and will show up in the assessment dashboards. Inputting scores into the application takes a few simple steps.  Follow the instructions below to learn about scoring an assessment. 

How to score an assessment

Here are the steps to scoring an assessment:

 

  1. Sign into http://datazone.org

2. Go to Apps and click on Assessment

 

 

3. Go to Assessment List

 

 

4.Click on the Assessment from the list. Be sure to select the correct grade level for the assessment. 

  • The assessment must be “unlocked” in order to input scores.

5. On the Assessment Summary page, double-check that you selected the correct assessment to score.

6. Click on the +New Administration button at the bottom of the screen.

 

7. The Scoring screen will appear

 

8. Select the Test Date: This is the date on which you administered the test to the students. 

 

9. Select the Term from the dropdown menu: This is the marking period or term in which the assessment was administered. The available Terms are pre-set based on your district assessment admin.

 

10. Click Save. This will set the assessment time period and pull up the roster of students who are/were enrolled in your course as of the Testing Date.

11. Select your School: Verify that the correct school appears and is selected from the dropdown menu.

 

12. Select the Course:  This will only apply if you teach multiple courses (i.e., middle school teacher). Leave blank if you are a self-contained staff.

 

13. Input the students’ Score(s) into the available columns. 

  • Note: Your assessment may have one score column or more than one score column. If you have questions about what score to input, please contact your District Assessment Administrator.

 

14. Scores are automatically saved as you input them.
