Troubleshooting Login Issues

Can login, but dashboards are blank

Some users are experiencing issues while loading the dashboard. Only menu is appearing but data in the dashboards is not rendering or showing up, leaving a blank dashboard.

Many districts have enabled ad-blocker – either native in the browser itself or as a separate extension. This is affecting the rendering of embedded PowerBI dashboards (not allowing data to be visible on the dashboard page).

Please DISABLE the ad-block extension or whitelist “http://datazone.org ” in the extension to allow the rendering of the dashboards. Here are instruction on how to check and/or disable the ad-blocker.

NOTE: This issue is not limited to Chrome browser, however given Chrome is the default browser for many, these extensions are enabled mainly for chrome. Hence, user might be able to see the dashboards in other browsers while the same not functioning normally in Chrome.

Error Code: HTTP ERROR 401

If you get an Error 401, this means that there is an authentication issue.

Not able to move beyond the sign-in page while authenticating with Google/Chrome

This issue results in the user being stuck in a “sign-in loop”. There are two possible reasons for this:

  1. User account, while properly authenticated, is not authorized to access to DataZone app. Please contact your district’s DataZone lead in order to submit a request for your access.

  2. If your account is setup in DataZone, it is possible you are attempting to login with a different login. Google Chrome allows you to create different login profile (i.e. personal account and work account). You should verify that you are using the correct email or user ID. Please add or change to the username for DataZone profile.

Forgot your Username or Password

If you have forgotten your username or password:

  • Contact your district administrator (your district IT/help desk).

  • Usernames and passwords are based on district-issued credentials.

  • For Google and/or Microsoft authentication, DataZone is unable to provide username or password reset/support.

Single Sign On Isn’t Working

This could be a Microsoft or Google Authentication issue. Try these steps:

  1. Restart your computer

  2. Login to other apps using your authentication credentials

If the steps above do not resolve the issue, create a Support Ticket.
