Creating a Student Referral
There are two ways to create a referral for a student.
Option 1: Search for a student in order to complete a Referral Form
Option 2: Click ADD on Referrals and look up a student to add a new referral.
Both methods require you to Search for the student and then Add a new referral.
Using Student Search
Look-up the student using the Student Search feature/box. You can search for students using your district's local student ID, the state student ID (SSID) or first and last names.
The Student’s Name will appear in the list - which will include their Name, IDs (Local is a District generated ID, State ID is a universal state-issued ID) as well as Date of Birth, Grade, and current School.
Click on the Student’s Name.
2. A new page will appear with the Student’s Profile. Image to the below is the information contained in the Profile.
3. Click on New Referral to access the referral form.
4. Complete the New Student Referral Form (click to see more information about how to complete the New Student Referral Form)
Use Referrals in order to add a Student to a service provider (Alternative Option)
This is an additional method that allows you to search for an organization and then add a student to a particular service provider.
In order to add a referral to a student’s profile, click on Add
Then follow the steps above, starting with Step 2.

Understanding the Referral List
View Referral List
Within Coordinators can view a list of students and the organizations, service they have been referred as well as the Date Referred and Status.
Each of these can be filtered at the top of the list. Coordinators can search for referrals that were created in previous years as well.
